Over My Shoulder

Stratfor: Nigerian Characteristics

March 6, 2013

Nigeria is slowly crumbling. Shell is pulling the plug on its oil production there. Nigeria produces some of the best oil in the world, a “bonny light” crude, at 2.5 million barrels a day. We must pay attention to this hellhole. I have been to 15 countries in Africa and love the continent, and I'm no sissy when it comes to going to  areas with security concerns, but I refuse to even get off the plane during layovers in Nigeria. Robert Kaplan of Stratfor paints us a vivid picture of Nigeria.
