Life is what happens when you are making plans, and my plans have not materialized for the last few days – due to life! This has really been rather unprecedented for me. I think things have reverted to the normal level of chaos, which I seem to deal with just fine. I am busy catching up, so there will be a spate of OMS postings in the next few days.

The first is the latest NFIB report. Nothing remarkable, as no jump in job creation, and nothing to get excited or more depressed about (and I guess we should call that good news), but I think this monthly report is one of the best ways to get a quick snapshot of the country, and especially as a counterbalance to the jobs report that came out today.
