Over My Shoulder

Financial Times: Review of “Money Changes Everything,” by William Goetzmann

September 26, 2017

I don't think I have ever put a book review in Over My Shoulder. This is a review in the Financial Times about the book Money Changes Everything, by William Goetzmann. I have actually read three reviews of it, and the book is now on my Kindle. It is 600 pages, and with everything else I'm doing I don't have time to sit down and read it all the way through, but when I'm looking for something to occupy my mind, I will simply open it up and begin where I left off. Kindle on my iPad is wonderful for that. I find the subject fascinating, and this review was the best of those I read.

I would suggest you read the review just to get an idea about what's going on in the book, and some of you might even want to get the book and read it. I have a feeling that you have to be a bit of a history and money buff to really want to delve into it, but if I weren't working on a book about the next 20 years it would go to the top of my list. This is actually the type of thing that I really enjoy reading and meditating on. I wish I could find a 100-page summary somewhere, but alas, none has appeared.

All the reviews talk about how well-written the book is, so I think you'll enjoy it.
