In 1989, the first Dividend Aristocrats list was published. At the time it was just a curated list of twenty companies that had increased their dividends for 25 consecutive years. Fast forward to 2002, the criteria for inclusion on the list was formalized and the status showed resilience through the dot-com-bubble and recovery.

We are going to need our seatbelts fastened to ride out the volatility through the rest of the year.

I’ve been spending time in Baltimore with my three nephews ages 5, 3½, and 1½. Although I visit here and there, I always face a bit of a learning curve when I’m in town.

I recently received two separate emails that asked for updates on specific stocks I have mentioned here in Dividend Digest.

I have both a watch list and a wish list. My watch list is the more practical of the two. It has companies that I’m actively watching for an entry point.

When I take a roadtrip, I usually set the GPS to avoid highways. It’s a great way to stumble across something fun and I like the lower speeds when I have the top down. Lately, I have spent more time on the highway.
