My friend Grant Williams publishes a very interesting read called Things that Make You Go Hmmm. He writes a cover piece and then gives us links to 5-6 stories and some charts. Very creative. I post this in Over My Shoulder because of his first section on the possible consequences of Chavez wanting his gold. The gold conspiracy guys are going to go nuts, but one good thing will come from this: we will learn whether they are simply paranoid, or right. And the question, "What if everyone wants their gold? Who will lend into the spot markets?" is a real one. Note: I am not a gold bug, and don't subscribe to the conspiracy stuff; but this is a fun read, and there is a link later on to a piece by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard that is useful.
