Mark Perry: The ‘miracle of the marketplace’
June 6, 2016
This is a quick little piece written by Mark Perry over at the American Enterprise Institute. No particularly brilliant economic insight other than to talk about the miracle of walking into your local grocery store and getting a banana at a cheaper price today than you could 20 years ago and 95% cheaper than when they were first introduced in the 1870s. It just made for fun reading and reminds me that central planning, especially when it comes from central banks, gets in the way of the Invisible Man.
